Des de l’Executiva del PSOE Ciutadella volem expresar el nostre posicionament, sobre les declaracions que va realitzar ahir, el president de “Salvem Sant Joan”, durant la presentació de l’associació.
Com a ciutadellenques i ciutadellencs que som, ens estimam les Festes de Sant Joan a la vegada que ens preocupa el seu desenvolupament al llarg dels temps i els problemes que van sorgint. Entre totes i tots, sense exclusions de cap casta, hem de trobar, a través del diàleg i amb les aportacions de tothom les millors solucions.
Sant Joan és una festa de tota Ciutadella i la pagesia n’és la principal protagonista, i no podem acceptar que ningú se’n vulgui apropiar i molt manco excloent a la meitat de la població que són les dones i relegant-les a un paper subaltern i de servei.
Les declaracions del Sr. Joan Fedelich, President de l’Associació Salvem Sant Joan, respecte al paper de la dona, són del tot rebutjables per quant repesenten una ofensa a les mateixes dones i mares pageses, un menyspreu al paper de la dona i el que representen. És del tot inacceptable la intencionalitat d’aquest senyor de voler relegar les dones a un lloc que de cap manera és el seu. Aquest masclisme el desautoritza completament per a parlar en nom de ningú que s’estimi la festa i molt manco de qui pretén “salvar-les”. Ningú que li facin nosa les “dones per enmig” es pot erigir com a portaveu de la defensa de Sant Joan.
I és per açò que exigim la seua dimissió.
